Can I select a mechanical seal using only the shaft diameter?
No. Shaft diameter is only one selection factor. Pressure, temperature, the liquid handled, speed, solids content, equipment design and installation dimensions all need to be checked as well.
Can you manufacture a mechanical seal from an old sample?
Yes. An old seal sample, drawing or clear photographs can be reviewed against your equipment. Operating conditions should be provided too, before the replacement goes into manufacturing.
Do you supply custom mechanical seals?
Yes. Custom mechanical seals can be developed for OEM machines, non-standard shafts, limited installation spaces and specialised process applications.
Which mechanical seal is suitable for corrosive chemicals?
